We created a reality competition show to prove how good Samsung's phone camera really is.
This is Exposure—a reality competition series where eight photographers compete with their creativity to win the ultimate exposure. In the first episode, the contestants are challenged to insert themselves into moments from the past to create viral images.
The show was originally created as the answer to a simple social brief—how can Samsung talk about the Galaxy S21 Ultra and its advanced phone features in an engaging way? The answer was to create Exposure, where professional photographers and creators use the phone camera to create amazing content. After selling the idea to Samsung, we partnered with Westbrook Media and Hulu to bring it to life. Our role included everything from concepting and writing episodes, to casting, set design and visual identity for the show.
But Exposure is more than just a TV-show. From the show itself, we created 180+ different marketing assets. Since the product was integrated at the very heart of the show, we were able to create commercials from it seamlessly. We turned the episodes into shortform content including 60s, 30s and 15s, as well as countless static online ads leveraging the photography from the show, all talking about Samsung's latest product in an authentic and engaging way.
Exposure is currently streaming only on Hulu.
